Thursday tramp - Maharahara

19 May 2016 - Maharahara (1095m) is the highest point in the Ruahines close to PN and not too far north of Wharite peak.  We climbed up from the west, the Pohangina Valley side.  Fifteen in our group, and 11 of us made it to the high point.  It was cold!  A quick, early lunch then back down to more pleasant conditions.
