This morning we climbed to Stag Saddle, the highest point on the Te Araroa trail at 1925m. In the distance was the beautiful blue of Lake Tekapo.
We then headed down a long, scenic ridge (Snake Ridge). This was one of the highlights of my walk.
We reached Camp Stream hut at 4.30pm and enjoyed relaxing in the sun. Here we met Miriam and Peter again.
Miriam is a keen hunter, hares are her main target, and there are plenty of them!
