A day in Chicago

24 June - We had most of a day to wander around and enjoy Chicago's inner city.

 We set off walking, our first destination was a relatively new sculpture near the lakefront, "Cloud Gate" by Anish Kapoor, its local nickname is "The Bean".

It was good to get there early as it gets very crowded with people taking photographs.

Walking down the "Magnificent Mile" shopping street on Michigan Ave

We found a very large "Under Armour" outdoor clothing store - my favourite brand!

Back to Buckingham Fountain

We caught a train from Union station at 4pm to Port Huron, Michigan State, arriving at about 11.30pm.  Our next adventure was about to begin.
