Into Arizona

19 June - Driving Utah Highway 89 our first stop was Kanab.  This was a delightful small city, with good coffee. Locals refer to Kanab as "Little Hollywood" as many movies and Tv series have been filmed around here, including Stagecoach, The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke and Planet of the Apes.

It was a very hot walk to view Horseshoe Bend, about 40 deg C and no shade.  This did not stop huge crowds taking on the 1 1/2 mile round trip.  Selfie sticks were popular.

That is as close to the edge as I could manage!
