Heading back to Albuquerque

20-22 June - Our last two days touring in our RV home.

We drove to "Four Corners" where the four states of Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado meet.  This must have been of real significance to most visitors as they were patiently lining up in the very hot sun to have their photos taken at this spot.

Then on to Cerillos, NM.  This was a delightful old mining town, almost a ghost town.  In its heyday turquoise, gold, lead, silver, copper, zinc and coal were mined.

Camping at the Turquoise Trail Campground.  Note the big unit in the background.

We were dwarfed by our neighbours with this huge set up, including an open air big TV screen located on the side of the trailer!

Driving on Route 66 ...

... if you followed these instructions your vehicle tyres made a musical wail. It was somehow done by grooves cut into the road surface. Wonderful, this really made us laugh, and so appropriate on Route 66!
